Community

Life is better
in Community.

We are a church of small groups, not a church with small groups. Everyone is known, everyone is cared for. Find your group today.

Find a Group

Everyone Needs a Few

Be Known

In a group, you’re not just a face in the crowd. You’re known by name, cared for personally, and missed when you’re gone.

Grow Together

Groups study Scripture, pray together, and sharpen one another — just as iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17).

Serve Others

Every group is outward-focused — looking for ways to serve their neighbors and the city of Dallas in Jesus’ name.

Know Your Community

What Kind of Oak Are You?

There are many different names for groups of Oak Trees. Using the four below and the spiritual description assigned to each, spend time prayerfully evaluating what group best describes you, your family, and your broader community of friends.

A Majesty

Thriving & Reproducing

A community that embodies the fullness of God's intent for His people — known for fidelity to the Word, personal holiness, selfless concern for others, and generosity. They have abiding peace, are faithful in speech, sound in doctrine, and able to teach and lead. They live on mission, bear much fruit, and are ready to suffer for righteousness. They consistently proclaim Christ, admonishing and teaching every man with all wisdom in order to present every man complete in Christ.

A Stand

Growing & Committed

A community of believers steadfast in the faith and committed to attaining the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God. No longer children tossed by waves and carried by every wind of doctrine, they speak the truth in love and are growing up in all aspects into Christ. They aspire to be leaders, are intentional in their commitments, and honor the Word of God consistently. They read God’s Word through, pray it in, and are growing in their reputation as one who lives it out and passes it on.

A Clump

Steady but Not Thriving

A community of converts who can answer the diagnostic questions with certainty but are not renowned for abiding with Jesus or consistently bearing fruit. They are good people but not passionately living on mission. The idea of iron sharpening iron is novel to them. They are comfortable attending church but not tending to the Lord’s business — steady but not thriving, present but not growing. They need pruning, encouragement, and deeper roots in the Word.

A Cluster

Nominal & Not Bearing Fruit

Quick to call themselves Christians but nominal in faith — not growing or bearing fruit, marked by weakness and conflict. They are not hungering for righteousness or prioritizing growth. Their personal relationships are not thriving, yet their struggles often are. They bear leaves but not fruit, tend toward isolation and inauthenticity, and are often unaware of their apathy until a crisis arrives. They are in great need of encouragement, loving admonishment, and discipleship.
